教学情况： 

担任生物科学专业《动物学》《食用菌栽培》，农学专业《农业昆虫与害虫防治》《植物化学保护》《大学生职业规划》等课程的理论与实验（践）教学。《动物学》省级一流课程参与人；曾作为植物保护团队主要成员荣获教育部首批黄大年式教学团队称号；主持并完成校级教改课题1项，发表教研论文1篇；获2021年教师课堂教学竞赛校级一等奖；指导学生参加省级重点创新创业项目3项、校级1项，指导学生参加全国生命科学竞赛获国家三等奖、省级二等奖、三等奖各1项，指导学生实践获全国大学生三下乡重点团队、“芙蓉学子 榜样力量”公益团队，指导学生创新创业湖南省“挑战杯”铜奖及多次获得各类校级创新创业大赛奖项。

科研情况：

多年来一直从事昆虫形态学、分类和系统发育及害虫生物防治等方面的研究。先后主持或参加国家自然科学基金、湖南省自然科学基金等 10 余项，发表学术论文30余篇，发现天敌昆虫200余新种，近年来，参加了湖南省洞庭湖区福寿螺防控工作、湖南桃源、临澧、澧县、安乡和负责山西晋城等县生物多样性和入侵生物调查与防控等工作，同时参编或正在参编《天目山昆虫》《秦岭昆虫志》《历山昆虫与蛛形动物》《中国热带亚热带典型农林交错带传粉昆虫图谱》《浙江昆虫》《广东昆虫》《南岭昆虫》等多部书籍。
